The GERONIMO* project is a 24 month initiative, which is being supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme, aiming to bring small and medium sized enterprises from the European dairy industry into the energy equation and empower them to become more efficient in its use, as well as more capacitated to uptake renewable sources. Over the course of 24 months this project will guide and drive the building and deployment of the European Dairy Energy Platform which will: Stimulate dairy farmers to embrace the issue of energy Provide ready access to relevant and useful information on the Technologyand tools which will Empower them to take action to becoming energy efficient Guide them towards sources of financing, loans, grants and financial mechanisms that will assist them in Paying for such investments.
