Short description of project |
In this project we propose employing intrabody communication (IBC) for connecting Internet of Things (IoT) devices in health applications. Croatian and Chinese partners plan to compare and extend their previous knowledge in galvanic and capacitive IBC system modelling, IBC channel measurements, and hardware design. A model of the unified galvanic and capacitive IBC channel should be attained combining electromagnetic wave propagation and lumped parameters models of the IBC system with the IBC channel measurement results. These findings will be applied in the design of the IBC transceivers with incorporated IoT functionality, resulting in a reliable and safe low-powered wireless network for health applications. As an outcome of our cooperation, the competitiveness and excellence of both groups in the field of the IBC and IoT will improve. Furthermore, this project will lay the path towards more specific and application-oriented research project in the future, and foster the cooperation between the researchers in Croatia and China.

U ovom projektu će se koristiti prijenos signala ljudskim tijelom (IBC) kao ključna tehnologija za primjenu Interneta stvari u zdravstvenim aplikacijama. Hrvatski i kineski partneri planiraju usporediti i proširiti svoje znanje o modeliranju galvanskog i kapacitivnog IBC sustava, mjerenju karakteristike IBC kanala i razvoju IBC uređaja. Jedinstveni model galvanskog i kapacitivnog kanala planira se razviti povezivanjem punovalne elektromagnetske analize i modela s koncentriranim parametrima s rezultatima mjerenja karakteristike IBC kanala. Ovi rezultati će se primijeniti u dizajnu IBC primopredajnika s ugrađenom IoT funkcionalnošću, a kao rezultat će se dobiti pouzdana i sigurna bežična mreža niske potrošnje namijenjena za zdravstvene aplikacije. Kao rezultat naše suradnje poboljšat će se konkurentnost i izvrsnost obje grupe u području prijenosa signala ljudskim tijelom i Interneta stvari. Nadalje, ovaj projekt će otvoriti put prema budućim specifičnijim projektima orijentiranim na konkretne primjene razvijenih tehnologija i poticati suradnju između znanstvenika u Hrvatskoj i Kini.
