The project carries out the survey of the state-of-the-art of the Internet based control of mobile robots and other electromechanical systems. Special attention is paid to the compensation possibilities of the variable communication time delays – a key problem in this type of applications. Research is focused on three topics: i) web based teleoperation, ii) bilateral master-slave teleoperation, and iii) virtual reality assisted teleoperation.
