This project will focus mainly on in-situ chemical dating of monazite by means of the electron microprobe in the igneous and metamorphic rocks from the still enigmatic Tisia unit which outcrops in the Croatia. Particularly in Tisia is interesting to separate ages of different and still not in detail studied metamorphic and magmatic events which broadly occurred during pre-Variscan, Variscan and Alpine times. At the moment, available data all around the Tisia (not only in Croatia) are too scarce to be used for reliable geodynamic interpretation of the specific metamorphic and/or igneous event(s). Our present work in the area is confronted with the challenge to separate different stages of metamorphism/magmatism and to derive PT data together with metamorphic isogrades for different events separately.
