The wider objective of the Project is equalizing of opportunities in higher education for Students with Disabilities in the Republic of Croatia which will tend to be realized through enhancement of existing and development of new forms of support in equalizing opportunities for students with disabilities in Croatian universities, initiation of creation of national standards and guidelines for development of accessibility of higher education for students with disabilities and ensuring of accessibility, sustainability and quality of a system of support equalization. The main project results consider initialization of a university elective course titled "Peer Support for Students with Disabilities", publication of 8 manuals about possibilities for adapting academic environment for students with disabilities, educated educators in Croatian universities, and finally educated teaching, professional and administrative faculty staff members at all Croatian universities. Beside these, conditions for introduction of unitary national standards and guidelines for development of accessibility of higher education for students with disabilities in the Republic of Croatia as well as the development of support network and institutional forms of support to students with disabilities at Croatian universities.
